I epoxy coated the inside of my tank, I thought I had small cracks causing leaks, now I think they were just surface cracks in the gel coat Inside of the tank seems to accumulate blue-green algae over time; now it is easy to scrub out

The leaks I thought I had were caused by the vent hose laying on top of the water tank. when filling tank up water would squirt out of hose. I installed a vent thru hull up high in the chain locker with a series of copper tube goose necks. If I anticipated off shore cruising, I would install a ball valve in the line.
